Wickham sold two Type 27 's into
Australia.
one was built for the 3' gauge coal system operated by the State Electricity Commission in Victoria, and the other was sold to a Robert Hudson in South Australia for use on a 3'6" gauge track.
The SECV car was delivered in October 1950, by Wickhams Australian Agent. Whereas the car for Robert Hudson was Delivered February 1956.
The Type 27 delivered to our Mr Hudson is a bit of a mystery - we don't know who he was.The car though, Builders Number 7327, was delivered a week before the broad gauge (Type 4) car, 7238, was delivered to the SAR.
No further information is available!
